For our 18th Yule Calendar surprise, we have something for the eager crafters: a crochet pattern for a simple but effective dishcloth!
Some might think, how is a dishcloth related to Yule? Well, if you have ever been to the Yule festival place called Winterhome in LOTRO, you might have seen why. Folks are enjoying festival food there non-stop, leaving the dishes for the poor gamers to clean up. This particular dishcloth is proofed to be effective against the unsightly spills, and it is pretty fast to make. To make it, you will need to know chain stitches, double crochet and front/back post stitches. The alternating front and back post stitches make a surface that scrubs the dirt off pretty easily and gently. The dishcloth might make a nice Yule present too – a dishcloth is always a handy thing.
The original pattern is this one translated into English by me. There are also other nice patterns on this site in English, if you are interested.
