Our 9th Hobbity surprise is a beautiful poem and a painting by Master Nomo Paltin! He is a frequent visitor at many hobbit events on the LOTRO Meriadoc server. In his poem, he takes us outside the Shire bounds, to Swanfleet, where some hobbits also dwell.

Yule brings
things falling
the Swans of Swanfleet
already know
oh-how all's in the flow
longer nights, more shades
reflections on the water
touches the feather
but the swans
hide
dreams of…
