Our 7th yule calendar entry comes from Yamy! She has sent us a festive recipe for yuletide. She comes from a tropical island (not the Girdley Island then, I think), where you can enjoy warm yule baths! And some cold drinks too, I bet. Here's a recipe for one by Yamy. Might be a favourite at the Shire pierates yule party! Arrr!

Coquito, a sweet & cold creamy drink!

Ingredients:

  • evaporated milk
  • cream of coconut
  • coconut milk
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • rum (optional)
  • vanilla extract
  • ground cinnamon
  1. In bowl of blender, add evaporated milk, cream of coconut, coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, rum (if using), vanilla extract and ground cinnamon. Blend on high until mixture is well combined, 1-2 minutes.
  2. Pour coconut mixture into glass bottles; cover. Transfer to refrigerator. Chill until cold.
  3. To serve, stir or shake bottle well to combine. Pour coquito into small serving glasses. Garnish with ground cinnamon and cinnamon sticks, if desired.
  4. A bit of other spices, chocolate or fruits can be added to give the flavor a personal accent.
